The VUB sports complex, on the Brussels Engineering, Sciences & Humanities campus, is the organisational centre for the extensive sports offer in which students, staff but also externals can participate. The VUB Sports Service deals with everything that has a link with sport, exercise & health at the University.

Why is this project so special?

The VUB sports complex has two halls, a parquet hall and a green hall, which can be operated from a central location.

The system consists of 2 Wago controllers that control the lighting via DALI (in free programming).
The controllers communicate with each other via network variables in master-slave mode.

The lighting is controlled solely via the visualisation. Customers rent the areas, and the person at the reception switches on the lighting for the rented areas. The lighting can be set per area in 4 strengths (via a drop-down box): OFF, comfort, training, competition.

The visualisation also allows setting timers to:

• Switching on the lighting automatically during maintenance operations
• Switching off the lights automatically (so that it is not forgotten in the evening)
